💡 What does “100% Renewable Power” mean for your energy community?

In simple terms, for your energy community, "100% Renewable Power" means that all the electricity shared between members comes exclusively from local renewable sources – typically solar panels installed on the rooftops of members' homes, businesses, or public buildings within the community.

Unlike a standard green electricity contract (which may source renewable energy from anywhere in Europe), an energy community's power is:

Produced locally – Right in your neighbourhood

Shared directly between members – From one neighbour to another

100% renewable by law – Luxembourg's regulations require that all energy shared within a community comes exclusively from renewable installations

What this means in practice

Because your community produces its own renewable power locally, you are not relying on distant wind farms or hydro plants. The energy you consume as a member comes from the solar panels that you and your neighbours have chosen to install and share amongst yourselves.

This local approach is what allows your community to benefit from reduced grid fees (for local communities within 300 metres) and a more stable, internally agreed price.
